Rumors are heating up about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, which looks set to be revealed by the manufacturer next month - along with a new sister model, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro. The smartphone is also the first in its segment to sport a "screen sound" technology that enables the display panel to produce audio vibrations - without requiring a dedicated earpiece. This means the Galaxy M40 will be available exclusively on and Samsung's online store starting June 18, 12PM.

Samsung notes that we can expect its A-series phones to arrive on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile, making it obvious that Samsung's ready to take the mid-range U.S. smartphone market seriously.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M40 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. All the previous-gen Galaxy M-series devices were running Samsung's own Exynos 7-series chipsets but the company, it now seems, has turned to Qualcomm to offer more power to its users. Earlier Samsung had confirmed that the Galaxy M40 will be priced at around Rs 20,000.

Samsung previously announced that its low-end smartphone Galaxy J line was being discontinued and would be replaced by Galaxy A models. The device will be available in two colour options- Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue gradient colours.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy M40 will come with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-O FHD+ Super AMOLED display and packs a 3,500mAh battery. The primary sensor on the back also supports features like 4K recording, slo-mo, and hyperlapse in terms of video. The phone runs One UI based on Android Pie out of the box, has NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0. Wired headphones with 3.5mm jack will still work with the Note 10 and beyond, but you'll need a USB-C-to-3.5mm dongle. The Note 10 will follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S10 and move the fingerprint sensor from the back to the screen, so the device will feature an ultrasonic reader. It also comes with a 4,000mAh fast-charging battery and 32GB of storage.
