Lasith Malinga will leave the Sri Lankan team following their World Cup Game against Bangladesh, which will be played in Bristol today, following the death of his mother-in-law.

In the absence of two key players, Sri Lanka would likely be a bit less disappointed as compared to Bangladesh after the match being rained off.

The final will be played on the 14th of July.
