He's off the training list, and if he's off the training list he's off the Preakness list.

There will be no Triple Crown in horse racing this year.

Country House crosses the finish line at the Kentucky Derby on May 4, 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The champion horse is now coughing and his blood profile is not normal, his trainer, Bill Mott, told ABC News. His absence at the Preakness means there won't be a chance for the sport to have a Triple Crown victor for the third time in five years.

Pixel 3a XL spotted at Best Buy, launch likely imminent
The Pixel 3a will sport a 5.6-inch screen whereas the Pixel 3a XL is expected to bring in tow a bigger 6-inch display . As far as the launch date for the operating system is concerned, Android users will have to wait until the fall.

Country House was determined the Derby victor when a controversial decision disqualified Maximum Security, the first horse to cross the finish line, after a review found Maximum Security veered out of his path on the final turn.

American Pharoah and Justify won Triple Crowns in 2015 and 2018, respectively.

The last Derby victor to skip the Preakness was Grindstone, who missed the second jewel of the Triple Crown in 1996 because of a bone chip in his right knee.

The Preakness Stakes are scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. After coming from fourth in the stretch and beating Cavonnier by a nose in the Kentucky Derby, Grindstone never raced again. It marked the first time in the event's 145-year history that a Derby champion had been stripped of a title because of a track infraction. Maximum Security's owner, Gary West, said this week that his horse would also not partake in the Preakness. It was the first time the horse who crossed the finish line first was not declared the victor.

"My God, some of these young riders need to toughen up a little bit and quit trying to win so much", Court said.

"I've never liked training a horse that's given an indication that he's sick", Mott said.
