Chris Finazzo, president of Burger King North America, said the chain is hoping the burger allows "somebody who wants to eat a burger every day, but doesn't necessarily want to eat beef everyday, permission to come into the restaurants more frequently", CNN reported.

White Castle has also sold Impossible Burgers in sliders at all of their locations since the end of previous year, according to The New York Times.

Auburn ran away in the overtime to outscore Kentucky 17-11, but that was not the case in the waning minutes of the second half. Auburn could have won the game in regulation, but Horace Spencer missed a hard three-point shot on the final possession.

Vegetarian burgers are offered at Carl's Jr. and White Castle restaurants, but adding the option to all BK restaurants would make the plant-based burger option much more widely available.

You might have already heard of Impossible Burgers. For starters, the veg version will cost almost a dollar more than the original Whopper, a significant increase in the price-sensitive fast-food market.

The Impossible Whopper comes at an extra cost - about a dollar more than the beef patty Whopper. What's more, Impossible Foods took heat previous year from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for the start-up's seemingly contradictory stance on animals: Impossible Foods wants to save the lives of countless livestock, but the company simultaneously tests the heme molecule - which is responsible for the "beefy" taste of the vegetarian patty - on laboratory rats. Not to mention advancements in plant-based proteins, like the Beyond and Impossible burgers, mean going vegan is tastier than it ever was before. The field is growing, with new entrants like Beyond Meat, backed by Bill Gates, competing with The Vegetarian Butcher, recently acquired by Unilever. If all goes well, Burger King will roll out the Impossible Whopper nationally.

"The remarkable thing was how unremarkable they were: Nothing gives away the fact that this Whopper contains a different main ingredient", Brian Cooley wrote.

What will it taste like: According to Burger King's chief marketing officer Fernando Machado, it's hard to tell the difference between The Impossible Burger and the regular meat Whopper, Reuters reported. McDonald's has a McVegan burger available only in Finland and Sweden. That version is being used in Burger King's new meatless Whoppers. Burger King, a national fast food joint, may become one of its biggest milestones, at least as far as public accessibility is concerned.
