Back in the day, Facebook Messenger was built directly into the main Facebook app.

(Web Desk) - Jane Manchun Wong, researcher for reverse engineering popular social media apps, tweeted a screenshot which hinted at the re-integration of "Messenger" in Facebook primary app.

"Facebook's Messenger app icon would remain but instead of launching a standalone app, it would open Facebook and take you directly to a section called Chats", the report claimed.

World number one Justin Rose missed the cut for the first time in 14 Augusta appearances at 148 after a second-round 73. After a flawless opening round, Koepka had two bogeys and a double in his first six holes on Friday but the twice U.S.

Since that time, Facebook acquired WhatsApp and is now preparing to integrate chat and messaging functions across the two services, as well as with Instagram. That gave Facebook a whole new, multi-million (now billion) user platform, but the company was largely criticized for the play, and the Messenger app was savaged by reviewers as a result.

Facebook was hit by a similar outage back in March 14, 2019.

This all tracks with recent news that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to roll Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger into a single platform.

But Kim blew both hot and cold, chastising Washington for the failure of the Hanoi pow-wow. But he said his personal relationship with the American president remains good.

And it would likely be a crowd-pleasing move: Many users were frustrated by having to download an additional app from Facebook when it was made mandatory in 2014. Quickly after that, the option to have conversations with friends via Chat was completely removed from the Facebook app. Now, nearly 5 years later, as Facebook prepares to integrate WhatsApp and Instagram into a singular platform, the feature seems to be making its return. According to Wong, the same is true for the Messenger app, which she believes will be kept around to cater to a different audience than the main Facebook app.

So far, the Chats feature doesn't allow users to perform more advanced tasks, like reacting to messages, making calls or sending images. In any case, Facebook is clearly testing it.

Facebook has commented on the feature as per The Verge, but it seems to be a boilerplate response.

Now, Facebook appears to be experiencing something of the sort. They will no longer have to install a new app altogether to read their messages.
