Mueller, who studied politics at the University, was appointed as Special Counsel nearly two years ago on May 17, 2017, shortly after President Trump's dismissal of former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey. Mueller found: "The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion".

The No 2 Democrat, Representative Steny Hoyer of Maryland, drew criticism for refusing to consider impeachment, and quickly revised his comments to say "all options ought to remain on the table".

In early morning tweets, Trump called it "the Crazy Mueller Report" written by "Haters" and filled with statements that "are fabricated & totally untrue".

Giuliani spoke on CNN's "State of the Union", "Fox News Sunday" and NBC's "Meet the Press".

But the architects of Trump's victory had no qualms about playing footsies with the Russians. Why? But she also said the investigation was a "very thorough undertaking" that seems to have "changed very few minds in Washington", perhaps implying that the results speak for themselves. "The report raises more questions and concerns that we believe the American people deserve answers to".

Severe weather wreaks havoc on holiday travel
At least three other people have been killed in the massive thunderstorms that pounded parts of MS and Alabama on Thursday. The same storm system was blamed for the deaths a day earlier of three people in MS and a woman in Alabama.

And billionaire Tom Steyer, a leading advocate of impeachment, has grown impatient with the House's pace of investigations and wants televised hearings to focus Americans' attention on Trump.

Trump complained privately that the second volume of the Mueller report, which focuses on obstruction of justice, is a political document meant to make him look bad, according to a senior White House official.

In addition, Barr quoted that "the special counsel ... ultimately determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment".

From the Sunday programs, it's clear that Democrats in Congress are conflicted about how to proceed.

For now, only the party's most progressive voices, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, joined activists and a handful of Democrats in support of impeachment proceedings without additional committee actions in the House.

But the Bruins were finally able to breathe thanks to a Marchand empty-net goal scored with 1:54 left in the third period. The puck bounced off Leaf defenceman Ron Hainsey's leg to get by Andersen at 11:23.

'I am sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the president, 'he said in a statement.

But Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, had a far different take.

This is especially important to remember when the conversation turns to obstruction of justice, where the Mueller Report details a number of truly troubling incidents in which a reasonable person could conclude that the President of the United States attempted to obstruct the conduct of an ongoing investigation. "There's just nothing in there that should do that".

A seething Trump launched a tirade Friday against the "bullshit" Mueller report on how he tried to thwart the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election. He is miffed because the report is so unflattering to him. "We may get to that, we may not", he said, adding that lawmakers needed first to "go through all the evidence". The report analyzed 10 specific actions which could have constituted obstruction - these included the President attempting to convince then-FBI Director James Comey to "let Flynn go" (a reference to the investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn), the firing of Comey and attempts to get Attorney General Jeff Sessions to either "un-recuse" himself from the Russian Federation investigation or limit the investigation's scope.
