Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei's consumer products division, is already on record talking a pretty big game about the foldable smartphone the embattled China-based tech giant appears set to reveal at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, with a press conference scheduled for February 24. The device details are largely unclear, but the teaser image shared speaks volumes of the innovation. Pictured: A man walks past a display for Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphones at the company's showroom in Seoul on July 31, 2018. All of that information sits inside what appears to be a folded device. But from the smiles and applause that followed, it seems that Huawei is poised to really launch its own take on the foldable smartphone next month. On the right side, the phone is expected to feature a fingerprint sensor that also doubles as a power button, something these renders also suggest. Samsung's Galaxy Foldable smartphone, shown at the 23-second mark, apparently opens like a book with a regular display on the outside but a flexible display on the inside. The event will be held on February 24 in Barcelona and is planned to kick off a2 PMPM CET.

Mavericks acquire Kristaps Porzingis from Knicks for Dennis Smith Jr

Of course, given the current United States trade tensions with Huawei's home country of China and the company's legal woes here in the U.S., many of us may never get the chance to bend this particular model.
