A quiet day with no incoming players is expected at Finch Farm today while Idrissa Gueye's dream of joining Paris St Germain looks likely to go unrealised unless Everton agree a fee for the midfielder's sale.

Gueye has a groin problem and is unlikely to feature against Wolves on Saturday but Silva said: 'I know him very well.

The Mirror says the Senegal global was the subject of a £21.5m bid from Paris Saint-Germain which was rejected by the Toffees.

If PSG really is Gueye's "dream" switch, then the fact that he didn't get his move in January could light a fire under him going forwards.

The French giants have made several offers for Gueye this month, and have been rebuffed by Everton each time, but seeing Gueye missing from the Everton starting eleven set tongues wagging.

"When a club like PSG has a big interest in one of our players it means we're doing a good job". Of course it was a good opportunity for Gana, but it's a fantastic opportunity to stay with us also. I don't doubt we will see the same Gana again.

After the chaotic launch of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in July 2017, hundreds of thousands have lost jobs in small businesses. The report also says youth unemployment is at "astronomically high" levels of 13 to 27 per cent.

Gueye left Aston Villa for Merseyside in 2016 following the Birmingham-based club's relegation to the Championship.

Despite sitting 14 points off the top four, Gueye has played an important role in preventing goals this season when he's been deployed as a defensive midfielder. He has been integral to Marco Silva this campaign, making 20 appearances across all competitions, and playing all but four of his sides' Premier League encounters.

"We showed a strong character and you need that when you are not at your best moment of the season", Silva added. Let us know in the comments section below.
