Samsung to launch Galaxy M series in India on January 28

Samsung is working on a new smartphone that will only be available online. The company sent a press note confirming the launch of the brand new series, adding that the Galaxy M series is created to attract "young millennial consumers".

Samsung has announced that it will be launching its new Galaxy M series of smartphones in India on January 28. This will be known as the Infinity-V display as revealed during Samsung's developer conference. There's the flagship Galaxy S and Note series, the mid-range A series, and the budget J, C, and On lineup. It's the second time a Samsung phone is going have a battery that big (the first was the Galaxy A9 Pro), while it will be the first time we see fast charging on a budget Samsung device.

The "Oh-mAh-God" battery could be the 5,000mAh battery that is rumored to power the Galaxy M20 smartphone. Rumours also claim that Samsung might launch the premium Galaxy M40 at the same event, but nothing is confirmed by the brand at the moment. More and more leaks and rumors surrounding the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20 have started appearing over the web recently suggesting at an imminent launch. Both the handsets will sport dual rear camera setup and out of the two one will be a wide-angle lens.

Another Netherlands based website mobielkopen.net has shared images of the Galaxy M20 and its specifications based on details scraped from the manual guide for the phone.

The biggest attraction with the Galaxy M20 will no doubt be its 5,000 mAh battery. The phone could also come with digital zoom up to 4x and the secondary 5MP camera will have a pixel size of 1.12 μm with f/2.2 aperture. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

Though the price hasn't officially been revealed just yet, a Samsung India executive told Reuters the phones would cost between 10,000 and 20,000 rupees ($140 to $280 USD).
