Giuliani's Media Blitz Draws Ire of Trump and Some Allies

President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani said Monday that the President had no recollection of whether discussions about a proposed Trump Tower Moscow project went through the 2016 election, distancing himself from a claim he made Sunday.

BuzzFeed confirmed the link to Fox on Tuesday, with a spokesperson saying, "NBCU is indeed an investor and a great strategic partner, but I'm afraid you'd have to ask them about how and when they disclose that information".

"When I was mayor, I got criticized for a lot of things I was praised for now", continued Giuliani.

President Donald Trump's advisers are reportedly urging him to bench his lawyer Rudy Giuliani and prevent him from making media appearances following his hapless performance of late. Giuliani, who is seen by many as a key public relations figure for Trump, talked about his role in a recent interview in the New Yorker. The president told advisers that he felt his lawyer had obscured what he believed was a public relations victory: the special counsel's rare public statement disputing portions of a BuzzFeed News story that Trump instructed his former attorney, Michael Cohen, to lie before Congress.
