Ant McPartlin returns to work with Dec for Britain's Got Talent

"What a great show to come back to, I'm thrilled, I'm over the moon. I've missed you all".

After taking most of 2018 out of television work, following his battle with substance abuse and drink-driving arrest, McPartlin will resume filming Britain's Got Talent this week.

The audience members all got to their feet and began to cheer as Ant walked onto the stage - and immediately went to give Dec a hug.

Ant is back for Britain's Got Talent 2019 and so are judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden. "The boys are back in town!"

"Ant welcome back. We missed you, it wasn't the same".

Ant has not been in work since being banned from driving for 20 months and fined £86,000, due to his involvement in a vehicle crash in March 2018 after drinking alcohol and driving.

The picture seemed to have been taken in a vehicle en route to the London Palladium, where the pair are hosting auditions for Britain's Got Talent.

"ITV is very excited about Ant and Dec being reunited - but Ant's recovery has been everyone's first priority".

McPartlin stepped down from all of his TV commitments after being charged with drink-driving in March past year, before he was later banned from the road for 20 months and fined £86,000.

He was twice over the legal limit when he was involved in a collision with two other cars in Richmond, South West London on 18 March.

The incident saw McPartlin put his career on pause having previously checked into rehab back in 2017 with a painkiller addiction.
