Looking at everything it offers, the Nokia 7.1 offers a compelling mid-range experience at an attractive price point. Between maximum talk time of 19.5 hours and maximum video playback time of only eight hours, the battery of this Android handset doesn't appear to be anything to write home about given its sizeable screen, though the device should still be able to last through an entire day on a single charge due to its energy-efficient processor.

The company also announced the launch of two new audio accessories with the Nokia 7.1 - the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones.

The Nokia 7.1 will be available from JB Hi-Fi (including SIM-only plans) and Harvey Norman from October 17 with an RRP of $499. The "dual-anodised diamond-cut coloured edges", which we assume is marketing bumf for "shiny and metallic", help to give the Nokia 7.1 a heft not always associated with phones at this price.
