Up until her firing, Omarosa was the only African American to serve in a senior role at the White House.

In tweets Monday, Trump attacked his former aide as "vicious, but not smart" and claimed that "people in the White House hated her".

Omarosa Manigault Newman just released her tell-all book Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House and it's packed full of endless accusations.

Politico reported that Omarosa, a former contestant on Trump's "Apprentice" reality show, told friends that she had taped a call she received from the Jewish power couple after her firing by Chief of Staff John Kelly late previous year in which they wished her well and denied knowing that she was slated for termination.

Figures from the same poll found Trump's overall approval rating to be 49 percent of likely voters who approve of Trump's job performance, while 49 percent disapprove.

The lack of diversity in President Donald Trump's administration has come under fresh scrutiny in the wake of a new tell-all book from former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, who was the highest ranking African-American official on Trump's staff. "If you could see one day of Donald Trump on that set, one full day, you'll realize, 'Oh my God, that's what's going on in the White House - he's incompetent, he is racist, he sexually harasses people, '" he said.

"The president of the United States is calling a woman of color 'a dog.' How dare he!" These spokesmen, as Sanders and Pierson noted, can not have witnessed everything that happened even while they were working at the highest levels of the Trump campaign and the White House.

The Washington Post says that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders "declined to vouch" for Trump, when asked directly if there was a tape recording of the U.S. president using racial slurs, saying: "I can't guarantee anything".

With public attention swirling around Omarosa's book on her media tour, it drew even more attention to her incendiary and unverified charges that there is a tape from the first season of "The Apprentice" of Trump using the "N word" caught on video tape.

Her comments did, however, strike a nerve with the White House.

However, Rocah said, the special counsel investigation would not likely rely on Manigault, who says she's already been interviewed by Mueller, because there was so much evidence of collusion that's already known. "Again, we can agree or disagree all day long, but I don't believe the job is to get up there and be an interpreter or a fact-checker".

Seth Meyers thinks he knows Omarosa Manigault Newman's true motivation for turning on President Donald Trump.

In a separate statement, Pierson said rumors about an alleged Trump tape were "being circulated by Omarosa and her alone".

"I haven't been in every single room", she said.

Manigault-Newman writes that she convinced Trump not to pursue the idea, and to never mention it to anyone else.
