The interview that Donald is referring to took place after LeBron's foundation, the LeBron James Family Foundation, and the Akron Ohio Public Schools launched a new elementary school for at-risk children on July 30.
"Lebron (sic) James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon", Trump tweeted on Friday night, referencing an interview Lemon, the CNN anchor, conducted with James to mark the opening of James' I Promise School. Lemon's chief offense was apparently making James look smart, which Trump said "wasn't easy to do".
When we're a sport website and we have to talk about Donald Trump, you know he's done something silly - once again. A few days later, James proclaimed he wouldn't let Trump divide the nation through sports, saying "the people run this country, not one individual".
In 2013, Trump said LeBron was "a great player and a great guy".
Asked later what he'd say if he ever found himself face-to-face with Trump, he replied: "I would never sit across from him".
Imran Khan claims victory in Pakistan election
Khan offered to investigate all the allegations of rigging and said he wants to "unite" the country under his leadership. The PTI has won 76 of the 272 seats in Pakistan's national assembly and is leading in 43.
The tweet came after James said during the interview that Trump is using sports to try and "divide" the US.
"Kind of?" Lemon said, followed by a chuckle.
Early this year, a federal court approved a $25 million settlement for former students of Trump University, who claimed the school was a bait-and-switch operation that did not offer the real estate industry insights it promised.
He concluded the post by writing "I like Mike" - which appears to be a reference to former National Basketball Association star Michael Jordan.
But Trump's election has charged James's outlook, along with other athletes and coaches. LeBron publicly criticized Donald back in September 2017 when he called him a "bum" in a tweet for cancelling his invitation to the Golden State Warriors to celebrate their championship win at the White House.
Three dead in Zimbabwe protests over alleged election fraud
Gunfire was heard downtown throughout the afternoon, including near the ruling party headquarters where protesters had gathered. Three people were killed in Zimbabwe's capital Harare after troops opened fire on rioting opposition supporters, police say.
Tension between the basketball star and president has built up for some time now.
"Going to the White House was a great honour until you showed up!"
These all speak louder than a President's Tweet.
I was shocked by how our President responded to Charlottesville. Minnesota center Karl Anthony Towns questioned why Trump was using his time to tweet about this instead of addressing the water issues in Flint, MI.
