Maurizio Sarri feels Chelsea will continue to improve under his stewardship, but the club's new coach will not aim to repeat his winning formula from Napoli.

A quintet of his best players, all involved on the final weekend of the World Cup, returned to training on Monday and are learning his philosophy on the hoof.

Real's top brass will meet this week with a view to making one last big money bid to lure Hazard to Spain before the August 31 deadline. If you look at the result, you can think about an easy game, but in the first half we were in trouble for 15 minutes against a very physical team.

Antonio Conte's successor got off the flawless start as the FA Cup holders sauntered to a comfortable victory which was secured courtesy of goals from N'Golo Kante, debutant Jorginho and Pedro.

Another positive was the performance of Alvaro Morata, much maligned for his form in the second half of last season, and heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer. "I have to adapt myself on the characteristics of these players, and not vice versa".

GK Kepa Arrizabalaga, 7 - Making his debut just three days after signing for a club-record fee, there were questions about his familiarity with Sarri's style of play and the defence in front of him, but the 23-year old looked assured in goal and a confidence-boosting clean sheet came easily enough. "But then I think the second half the opponents were maybe a bit exhausted, and it was a bit easier". We have to move the ball faster.

"Then we were 2-0 down after I think a good half and I think second half we started very slow, we were shocked". In the first half we didn't. "Hopefully two months and not three". "I expect, in the first part of the season, some problems". We have to improve in this month, then it might be hard with the national teams. "I like it."
